[ Description ]

This is a self-initiated design exploration across scale, material, and context. The KidSuper Studios x PUMA VS-1 collaboration introduced a sneaker defined by unconventional materiality and sculptural form. Despite the strength of the product itself, the release felt visually understated, with limited exploration of the object beyond standard promotional contexts.

Rather than reframe the product through traditional campaign language, Warner set out to document the VS-1 as a designed artifact: something built, handled, examined, and questioned. The hero thesis was material-led form. Object as sculpture. Process before polish. Weight, balance, restraint. Designed to be examined.

Warner positioned the shoe against hard surfaces including concrete and studio stone, using bold, directional lighting to draw out the shoe's turf-like texture and sculptural form. The images were treated with a cinematic grade to enhance mood and scale.

The work was developed across four formats. A hero image built around the object as vertical print. Support images using controlled repetition, form held constant, angle as variable, material remaining dominant, intended for META and performance advertising. An organic and environmental study using wide compositions to relay a lifestyle narrative, with context as material, sport as archaeology, props as provenance, world-building rather than set dressing, designed to feel found. And digital performance copy extending the creative across social and retail touchpoints.

This marks the first pair of PUMAs Warner has ever worn, and that personal connection informed his commitment to the product's character.
