Photo Art Director, Photographer | Advertising + Print

[ Description ]

For this project, Wisdom Warner approached the KidSuper Studios x PUMA VS-1 collaboration with the mindset of a photo art director building a world around a product rather than simply documenting it. The VS-1 holds personal significance for KidSuper as a reinterpretation of his first pair of cleats, and that spirit of childhood imagination informed the visual direction Warner crafted.

Warner positioned the shoe as a character — dramatic, sculptural, and larger than life. Through bold, directional lighting, he emphasized the shoe’s turf-like texture and organic form, elevating it into a fashion-campaign context. Hard materials such as concrete, studio stone, and a cutting mat were layered into the set to create a tension between rugged construction and playful nostalgia, mirroring the shoe’s unconventional materiality.

The images were treated with a cinematic grade that enhances mood and scale, transforming the product into an object of desire. Mock-ups of billboards, retail displays, and large-format placements extend the creative into a global campaign language, demonstrating how the VS-1 could live across real-world brand environments.

This marks the first pair of PUMAs Warner has ever worn, and that personal connection subtly informed his commitment to honoring the product’s personality. The resulting series showcases photography, art direction, and brand strategy into a cohesive narrative — one that celebrates design and aesthetic.
